Another summer in France! I believe this is our fourth time in this beautiful country. Our time in France is never taken for granted and we spend each day as if it were our last. When you have family spread across the world, this kind of mindset quickly becomes the norm.
This is the first year that I arrived in France by myself. My husband arrived in France a week before me. To be honest, I was a little scared. I was more afraid of the reality that we may soon face, which is me traveling back and forth without my husband. When I think of the future, this is what I see. When kids are in the picture, when our current projects become more real, this is what we will probably have to do. So I guess this was like practice for me. Getting my feet wet for the real thing.
. We decided to keep this trip low-key, and we spent most of our time in La Petite Cour Verte (our in-laws place/business). We visited a beautiful garden nearby called the Bambouseraie de Prafrance. This activity was planned by my mother in-law. She is so thoughtful. I guess she does read my Facebook posts of me talking about and showing off my plants. I love green, I love nature, and I love plants. We spent about 3 hours in the garden. It was lovely and time well spent. If you're into nature, and will be visiting Ardeche, France I highly recommend planning a family outing, or a simple date outing visiting this beautiful botanical garden. I'll discuss more of activities to do in Ardeche in a later post.
We also celebrated Max’s 30th birthday, and his father’s 60th birthday. This year will be the only year that Max will be half his father’s age. We had dinner at Les Murets. Very nice spot. And would love to go back soon. I love this place. The price and the quality of food you get can not be beat. Again, more of activities and dining in a later post.
Besides those 2 activities we did absolutely nothing but lounging around, swimming, and soaking up some good sun. Sometimes doing nothing is the best plan.
After a busy summer of traveling to 3 different countries, this was well needed.
